Have you ever been called by Visa for free stuff?

We just got a call from Visa Reward Program. They told us we were randomly selected by VISA for rewards. We will get a watch, free magazines subscriptions and more. He already knew where we lived and everything. The only thing we need to do is pay $4 a week for a cooking magazine. we told them we didnt want it and he said we can cancel it at any time. Have you heard of this before?

It’s not a scam, it’s a trick. It very well might be some perfectly legal (I hesitate to say “legitimate”) marketing program which bought your information from Visa. (You – and everybody else in the universe who hasn’t opted out of these programs – have been randomly selected.) The trick is that they will subscribe you to these “free” magazines and automatically renew you, and you will be paying for magazines you don’t want forever unless you proactively cancel them.

You need to contact Visa and opt out of their marketing programs or you’ll keep getting these.
